HI! I’M DR. KAYLEN FITZPATRICK, PSY.D.
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist based in South Florida. I specialize in helping adults navigate life’s challenges—trauma, relationship struggles, burnout, anxiety, depression, and perinatal (pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum) and life transitions. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or overstimulated—seeking ways to alleviate stress, improve communication, and cultivate more fulfilling relationships.
I often work with individuals who exhibit perfectionistic tendencies, are highly self-critical, have previously experienced traumatic events, are currently navigating stressful life transitions, or are struggling to find balance in their thinking.
My approach is integrative and relational, always tailored to meet your unique needs. I am trauma-informed and draw from evidence-based modalities such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused strategies, and process-oriented practices. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Using evidence-based approaches that fit your goals, I’ll work collaboratively with you to alleviate emotional distress, uncover and resolve past wounds, and foster lasting change and healing—all within a safe and supportive environment. You don’t have to face these challenges alone; I’m here to alleviate the weight off your shoulders as you build resilience, confidence, discover balance, and move toward growth.

Yes. I am EMDR-trained and offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy as part of my trauma-focused treatment approach. EMDR is an evidence-based method that helps clients process and heal from distressing memories, reduce emotional triggers, and build healthier responses to stress.
Alongside EMDR, I also integrate trauma-focused and trauma-informed therapy techniques into my work. This includes helping clients process difficult memories, build emotional resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies. My approach draws from evidence-based modalities like CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and process-oriented practices to support healing and growth.

Absolutely. Many of our clients seek therapy for burnout, chronic stress, and emotional exhaustion related to their professional careers. We work together to identify the root causes of burnout, develop strategies for work-life balance, and build boundaries that protect your mental well-being—while also exploring any deeper patterns that contribute to feeling overwhelmed.

I am a PSYPACT-authorized psychologist, which means I can provide telehealth therapy across multiple participating U.S. states without requiring separate licenses in each one. PSYPACT (The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact) is an agreement that allows licensed psychologists to offer online therapy to clients located in other PSYPACT states.
If you live in a PSYPACT participating state, you can work with me via secure video sessions, even if I’m not physically located in your state. This makes it easier to access therapy when you move, travel, or live in an area with limited mental health resources.
You can check the full list of PSYPACT states here to see if you’re eligible for online therapy with me.

Before your first session, you’ll receive an email or text with a secure link to join via SimplePractice, our HIPAA-compliant telehealth webcam platform. You can connect from a quiet, private space using your computer, tablet, or smartphone.
During our first meeting, we’ll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, review your history, and set goals for our work together. You’ll also have a chance to ask questions about the therapy process, scheduling, or payment. Our goal is to make your first session comfortable and supportive so you feel at ease moving forward.
